Leonardo Fornaroli on testing the new F3 car: More grip and excitement for new era

INTELLIGENCE
“I think I have to start with Fernando Alonso. I think he is a very clever driver, like he showed in Brazil 2023, when he managed to hold off Checo. You can see how clever he is with everything, he understands everything perfectly, so I’ll put him there.”
DRIVING IN THE WET
“Oh, Max Verstappen. It has to be straight away Max Verstappen, he is just fearless in the wet. We have seen it since he was pretty much a rookie in F1, it shows that he has the ability and confidence.”
QUALIFYING
“I will actually say Charles Leclerc. I think with Ferrari he has been doing a good job, many times, of course many people knew the combination last year of Leclerc pole, Verstappen win, but everyone knows Charles has incredible qualifying pace.”
CORNERING
“I’ll just go with Ayrton Senna. I just think he was a very smooth driver.”
Tim Tramnitz: My Ultimate Driver
TYRE MANAGEMENT
“Sergio Perez, for sure.”
BRAVEST/RISK TAKER
“I’ll go with Verstappen again. We can see when he was fighting with Hamilton, the bravery and risks he took, the confidence he had, he was elbows out all the time.”
SMOOTHEST
“I have no idea. I will say Sebastian Vettel. I just think he is a very smooth driver.”

OVERTAKING
“I will go with Red Bull Daniel Ricciardo. Lick the stamp and send it!”
ANYTHING ELSE
“I would add the personality and mentality of Lewis Hamilton. I think it’s a good thing to combine and to have, his mindset is very strong.”
